REquipment is thrilled to announce a donation drop-off site in Salem. No longer will people need to drive their gently-used durable medical equipment (DME) to Canton or wait 3-4 weeks for our van to pick up DME from their homes. Drop-offs at the Independent Living Center of the North Shore and Cape Ann (ILCNSCA) can be arranged in a matter of days.

Lisa Orgettas, ILCNSCA Executive Director says, “We are thrilled to be able to participate in this great program. So many people have benefited from being able to see their gently-used equipment put to good use. And countless people have been able to increase their independence with this free resource.”

REquipment collects donations from our drop-off sites monthly. Donated DME is sanitized and refurbished. It is then posted online where it becomes available at no charge to seniors, individuals with disabilities, families with children with disabilities, and veterans in Massachusetts who need it.
Drop-off sites are great for both our program and program users. They cut down on the time it takes to collect equipment and that means our vans are used more efficiently to deliver refurbished DME to community members. We are delighted ILCNSCA is partnering with us and helping expand REquipment’s statewide reach!
Donating at a drop-off site must be pre-approved by REquipment program staff and then scheduled with ILCNSCA staff. To donate equipment, please complete the online donation form or call 800 261 9841 for assistance.
