REquipment, Inc. President and CEO, Karen Langley, is pleased to announce that the organization is embarking on a strategic planning process to look at the short- and long-term goals of its durable medical equipment reuse program.  The Reuse Program is comprised of eight partners, which includes non-profits and state agencies.  REquipment coordinates the overall program and collaborates with partners that include United Cerebral Palsy of Western MA, Stavros Center for Independent Living, Department of Developmental Services-Worcester, and Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children, that do the refurbishing and delivery of equipment as well as the Disability Resource Center, Southeast Center for Independent Living and Independence Associates, that are regional drop off locations.

In keeping with the independent living philosophy of including people with disabilities in the discussion and decision making, we will be opening this process to the various program stakeholders. They include equipment recipients, equipment and financial donors, funders, legislators, and other interested parties.

REquipment, Inc has engaged the services of SOAR Management Consulting Group to assist us in this endeavor. SOAR MCG specializes in working with small and midsize nonprofits and public agencies that are facing challenges associated with organizational growth and change.  We anticipate the need to grow and change over the next 3-5 years and could benefit from a blueprint to drive that change.

The process will take place over the next 6 months.

We want and need your input to significantly impact our redesign and ability to meet the needs of the disability and elder communities in years to come. Email Karen Langley at klangley@dmereuse.organd let her know that you are interested in being involved in the strategic planning process.
